I finished the baby quilt last night.  I decided to “finish” the quilt with the crosshatch.

And now I’m totally in love with the little pink floral border print.  I love the crosshatch quilting and I think the polka dot binding might bring out the dots in the print?  I’m not sure – but I wasn’t super keen on the border print when I first added it, but it’s my favorite part of the quilt now.  Maybe I just stared at it for so many hours while binding that I just became attached.

My mom told me she couldn’t believe I would make something so pretty and not give it to her.  So I told her that if she really wanted a pink and red baby quilt, I would be happy to oblige!  :-)
